Nurturing the Christian Leaders of Tomorrow

Abeka Curriculum

Biblical Worldview Teaching

Coosa Christian High proudly uses  the Abeka curriculum throughout our History and English courses. This allows us to teach with a Biblical world view, which is very important too our beliefs.  Abeka’s proven approach to teaching helps teachers teach and students learn.

It begins with our traditional philosophy of education. This teacher-directed framework empowers teachers to focus students’ attention on the material they need to learn—in a context and sequence that will help them learn it best.

As students begin to grasp what’s being taught, newly acquired concepts and skills are fortified time and again using a method often referred to as spiral learning.

Finally, students’ growing mastery of subject matter is strengthened because of the comprehensive design of the curriculum. Material taught in one subject is reinforced in other subjects. At every step of the way, students learn, apply, and master new concepts and skills.  Abeka gives students a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning.

These courses are thoughtfully designed to engage students through various methods, ensuring that each individual connects with the subject matter. With a focus on personal success, our science textbooks feature both controlled and descriptive laboratory exercises, fostering a deep understanding of God's creation. Together, we create an enriching learning environment that cultivates respect and love for the wonders of the universe. Students become rooted and firmly established in recognizing God’s signature throughout all creation so that they know the length, width, height, and depth of God’s love.

Dual Enrollment and College Prep

College prep and Guidance

At our institution, we actively encourage students to participate in dual enrollment with Gadsden State Community College starting in the tenth grade. By graduation, students can have a semester college experience under their belts. We regularly invite college representatives and military recruiters to engage with our juniors and seniors, ensuring they have access to valuable opportunities. The ACT and the ASVAB tests are both given on our campus. We use the ASVAB results as a tool for helping students choose career pathways. With a 100% graduation rate and over 90% of our graduates pursuing further education, we are dedicated to supporting our students through FAFSA assistance, college applications, and scholarship opportunities—all while providing each student with their own laptop for enhanced learning.

A letter from our  Principal

image6_edited.png

Dear Parents, Students, and Visitors,

Welcome to Coosa Christian School!

It is both an honor and a joy to serve as the Principal of this Christ-centered community where faith, learning, and purpose come together. At Coosa Christian, we are deeply committed to nurturing students spiritually, academically, and personally so that they are equipped to live boldly for Christ in today’s world.

Our guiding verse is Romans 8:37 – “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” This truth is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that our students are not only capable of excellence, but that they are called to live victoriously—grounded in truth, strengthened by faith, and driven by purpose.

From our youngest learners in preschool to our high school seniors preparing to step into adulthood, we aim to develop the whole child—heart, mind, soul, and strength. Through strong academics, intentional discipleship, extracurricular opportunities, and daily spiritual formation, we are raising up a generation of students who know who they are in Christ and who are ready to impact the world.

As you explore our website and learn more about our mission, I hope you catch a glimpse of the passion we have for Christian education and the deep love we have for our students. We are not just a school—we are a family, and we invite you to be a part of it.

Thank you for your interest in Coosa Christian School. I would love the opportunity to meet you and personally welcome you to our campus.

In Christ,
Julie Delp
Principal
